About us…
Hi, my name is Lily and I’d like to welcome you to The Nail Academy.
2023’s NEW nail training academy!I started my nail journey when I was 18. I never actually thought about going into the beauty industry straight from leaving college. I completed my Level 3 complimentary therapy diploma and I started working at a spa in the city centre. I left the spa after a few months with them not being able to give me the hours I needed. I then started working alongside family members at my mums health store offering more holistic treatments such as Indian head massage, hot and cold stone massage & reflexology. I noticed more and more people asking for beauty and nail treatments and decided to take on the beauty industry. I did my qualifications and took the mobile beauty route. I was getting busier and busier and it soon gave me the drive to be my own boss.I was offered my first salon opportunity at the age of only 19 and accepted it without hesitation, realising I had nothing to lose. I gained my first lot of clients and I was making good money. I just needed a little more room. Thats when I moved to my second salon which had my very own room. It was everything I needed and I got busier and busier! I have always loved doing treatments for my clients but I always knew deep down I had a passion to teach. I then moved onto another four salons! In that time I was really taking the teaching approach seriously. I was researching about becoming an educator and doing the qualifications I needed. I knew this was what I wanted to do. I had meltdown after meltdown, being so undecided what to do but lockdown gave me the chance to really reflect on my busniess and my future. I not long after opened my own salon and let me tell you, It’s one of the scariest but most rewarding things I have ever done.I now have a beautiful salon and a team of amazing girls working along side me. À La Mode Team!As teaching is a passion of mine I’ve decided to open my very own training academy right next door to my salon. Almost 9 years down the line and I now have everything I’ve ever wanted. My dreams are becoming my reality. Beginners Gel Polish & French Manicure Course
The Beginner Gel Polish & French Manicure course is taught by our head nail tutor Lily.
Lily has an expert eye for attention to detail and has carefully designed this course to teach you the right way into the nail industry.This fast track One day course will teach you the importance of theory, health and safety & all aspects of gel polish as a beginner. Class sizes are kept small with a maximum of 4 students per class.On successful completion, you will be awarded with with your qualification of a Gel Nail Technician, ready and confident to go out into the industry!COURSE CONTENTS:

This course is suitable for complete beginners age 16+. No previous qualifications are needed.QUALIFICATION:

This allows you to gain insurance, which we can advise you on give you an advantage with our 10% discount code with ABT.COURSE OVERVIEW:
Before you attend your practical training day you will be asked complete your online theory programme. This MUST be completed before your practical day.On the training day Students will be working on their own hand and fellow students. No models are required.Once you have attended your practical day, you will be asked to send in 3 case studies so we can check your application is correct and give you feedback. You will have ONE MONTH to complete all 3. Once all of these have been marked with a pass you will then receive your accredited certificate in the post.KIT:

This Advanced Builder Gel course course is taught by our head nail tutor Lily.This course is specifically designed for qualified nail techs who want to up their gel game! This current nail product is amazing and has recently built up a brilliant reputation for natural nail growth, strength and durability.This is a One day fast track course with a maximum of 4 students per class.On successful completion, you will be awarded with with your qualification of a Builder Gel Nail Technician, ready and confident to go out into industry & grow your business!COURSE CONTENTS:
